How It Works

This website is built on WordPress and is designed to support the professional growth of young people, providing them with opportunities to explore and research their interests. Developed under the Youth Leadership and Professional Development Program, it encourages young people to engage in meaningful discussions about personal values, skills, and career aspirations.

The “Youth Leadership and Professional Development” program (2019–2020) is implemented by Junior Achievement (JA) Azerbaijan, with financial support from the UN Children’s Fund and the European Union. In partnership with the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Youth Foundation, the project aims to enhance the professional skills and employment prospects of young people.

Planning your career gives you a strategic advantage. While you don’t need to be the fastest, having a clear plan helps you make confident decisions about school, majors, electives, and internships. Ask yourself:

• Who do you want to become?

• Where do you want to be?

Breaking your plan into timeframes—such as 1 month, 6 months, 1 year, or 5 years—can make it more manageable. Consider all aspects of life: career goals, desired living location, hobbies, and relationships.

Next, identify the skills you need to develop to achieve your goals. Understanding why these skills are important will guide your personal development and improve your readiness for the job market. The program also supports young people in finding new job opportunities and preparing for interviews in professional work environments, focusing on both personal and technical competencies.
